Three-wide is now a thing.
Pro Wreckers introduces a new, hardcore experience bringing a new is a Custom A-Class AI set. It uses custom AI players and profiles to make the bots race as best as they can. Don't believe me? Check the above pictures! All of them depict AI vs AI battles, not Player vs AI.

DISCLAIMER
This mod is a work in progress.
Features will improve, bugs will be fixed and the content will be expanded in the future.
For now there's a limited selection of vehicles that are included in Pro Wreckers class, but I plan on adding all of them, add-ons included.

Description
Pro Wreckers will add a new AI Set on your Custom Event section. That "PRO WRECKERS" AI set contains a selection of A-Class vehicles tuned to race properly, with custom AI behaviors fitting with the Pro theme. When using that AI set, you will race against professional opponents that actually try to win the race rather than crash into others!
They should overall act less like idiots and push their vehicles to the max within the track. They will employ a variety of strategies to try getting an edge over each other and you, and will overtake more aggresively, push a little faster to gain that few km/h in curve, sometimes even brake later than usual, etc.
They are not free from mistakes though. You WILL experience spectacular crashes by the AI, but those will come from mistakes and errors, not random rammings for no good reason. Accidents now feel more natural. Nothing forced.
From my experience testing and racing with Pro Wreckers, they have overtaken others on brake zones, leanedinto other cars mid-curve in a controlled manner, overtaken me from the outside, and the more daring ones sometimes powerslide curves properly. You'll have fun.
I have weed out the WRECK aspects as much as I could and I have focused on the racing aspect, basically.

I will add more with time. Finetuning the AI files to actually make each vehicle make the most of its abilities is a long process, please have patience.
ADD-ON SUPPORT
Pro Wreckers includes config files and references to other mods that fit the theme.
Pro Wreckers supports:
- Legacy Asian 1
- Legacy American 3
Pro Wreckers works just as well without the supported mods, it shouldn't crash or anything. You'll simply not have the modded vehicles in the races.
COMPATIBILITY
Pro Wreckers' files are renamed with the prefix wp_ and so they do not override any vanilla or mod-added files.
You should be able to enjoy the Career mode and vanilla/modded AI sets without any issue, they will not be influenced by the Pro Wreckers AI Set.

You really should play with a controller or a wheel though.
OTHER RECCOMENDATIONS
- Lower the Oponent number to 12, to avoid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on turn one. There, less is more, trust me.
- Play on Realistic damage. This will make contact more important and dangerous, and also prevent you from smashing your way to victory. Remember the AI will not be ram happy now, you shouldn't either.
- Try to focus on tarmac tracks. Pro Wreckers can race on dirt/bumpy terrain, but they're worse there. I'll make rally builds for them in the future.
- Play on Cockpit or Hood cameras. You'll emulate what the AI would see and lose the visiblity advantage.

- Pine Hills Unused routes - Pro Wreckers' AI works well there too.
- Pritchard's Collsion Mod - Makes collisions with dynamic objects more stopping and dangerous.

- Pritchard's Weather - Pretty too.

I aim to make Wreckfest a serious racing game, removing the forced spectacularity and focusing on the racing aspects. This is a big project and will take time, but you'll like what I am going to add.
This project is divided in three stages.
PHASE 1: THE AI - 5% DONE
Consists on revamping the AI of all vehicles (Add-Ons included) to focus on the racing aspect, while also improving their control over the vehicle and giving them more personality, based on what vehicle they drive.
I will also create different strategies for the AI to use via multiple profiles.

PHASE 2: TRACK ROUTES - 0% DONE
Wreckfest tracks have routes designed to work well with the powerslidy behavior of the vanilla AI, and thus they're not optimal for normal racing. I'll modify them for this purpose.
This will result in AI players taking corners better and being more professionals in general.
PHASE 3: CHAMPIONSHIPS - 0% DONE
I will create a new Championship (After vanilla World Masters, or replacing it if I cannot add new ones). It will bring new, fun unique races and challenges, exploiting the new AI.
It will also include add-on maps, if possible.
